Orange Beach

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

Most of these pics are from my evening out with the littles. We all ate dinner at The Warf before Frank took Anne Louise to see Alice in Wonderland, and i took the others and walked around & rode the ferris wheel. There was a good bit of discussion as to whether or not they really wanted to go that high but a sense of adventure finally won out and we had a fun 5 minutes going round. The two of them are the likliest to butt heads in the fam so its really fun for me to see them behaving like they love each other.

Chinese New Year

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

We are so honored to be asked to participate in the Chinese New Year celebration and be involved with the Chinese community around Montgomery. Lovely people. The girls all danced and Katy had a solo line. Anne Louise interpreted as the kids sang one song. And I sang “Molihua” (“Jasmine Flower”) in Chinese with the other adoptive moms. It was really a precious experience.

Friends were there including Andea (my old friend from high school), Shelby (Ella Grace’s friend), The Pope Fam, The Foti’s, and Kirby Rockett & mom, Kim.

“Down by the Creekbank”

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

Ella Grace always arrives in the spotlight with some trepidation…especially when clothed in overalls…but she smiled pretty, sang sweetly and delivered her 2 lines with ease. Also pictured is her buddy Shelby. Kindergarten plays are so sweet.

Christmas Eve

Monday, April 12th, 2010

For 42 Christmas Eves, I have been at Oma’s house. i was the only grandchild and i took my first steps there in 1969. As the years have gone by the space has remained the same but the number of people has grown exponentially. What a blessing that we all enjoy being there, all crammed into that little house on Vance Lane, together. This year the girls were VERY surprised by a wii game system for our house given by Oma & Pa & Ma.

Also included here are pictures during the candlelight service at Frazer and our frequent tradition which began after Mom and George got married of dinner at Aunt Suzy’s. It always feels so “Christmasy” to be a part of that celebration.
